Client Portal Document Visibility Controls
The enhancement request I have pertains to an issue within the client portal. Currently, clients and client representatives given access to the portal are able to view forms saved by clinicians as long as the portal manager has assigned access to the specific form. The issue arises when clients and client representative are able to view incomplete documents not yet intended for viewing. For example, a clinician often takes multiple days to complete forms like the weekly progress update, transition plan, and discharge summary. The clinician often saves the document, creating client portal visibility, although the document may not be completed until days later. This can create confusion for the representative viewing the form.
I am requesting that the clinician creating a document have the ability to assign each individual document's visibility status within the client portal, or at least restrict visibility within the client portal until the document is signed by the clinician. I understand that currently the client portal manager has the ability to assign visibility of specific form type within the portal, but form type specific visibility alone creates issues with unwanted restriction of previously completed documents created under the same form type. I believe this enhancement would reduce confusion and potentially inappropriate access while also improve utility of the client portal for clinicians.
